I’ve had a love of books since I was a child. My family fostered that passion early, and I was told I taught myself to read.

Now, I write horror, romantic fantasy, and science fiction guided by the belief that if you can master the extremes of love and death, all other experiences fall somewhere in between. My books have teeth, and their tongues speak truth. Because truth is sharp, it may take an entire story to wrap a single shard enough to deliver it safely to your hand.

I have always been fond of Thomas the Rhymer, and of wandering into strange places and returning with tales. In my own way, I follow that road, searching for stories beneath the shadows of trees and in the corners others might pass by.

I currently live in Michigan with my researcher cohort, my spirit husband (who will be the first to tell you he doesn’t do parlor tricks), and a cat who belongs entirely to himself.
